Could you give it a go at 25fps?
#7652
Nice! How about 25fps,does it work also? How much is this card?

As long as the demosaicing/debayering done from ACR is FAR superior to any other debayering process/software currently available, I can not understand what you mean with "ACR workflow not being suitable for any serious work".

I will not choose convenience over image quality, NEVER !

I agree on that one. I cannot get that photographic raw look in my dng,s from anywhere but in acr. Too bad though, would be so nice to go straight into editing. For now it seems that going through dynamic link into after effects from premiere is the fastest way to get into acr module via proxyediting
#7654
Did you make the card bootable? And then putting on the ml files to the card? Did you do the nightly builds?
#7655
Probably fixed, I just don,t bother to change the time on my camera. Just shared whatever settings I used when doing my timelapse sequence for mspider. works good :)
#7656
Camera 13:00, computer 14:00. One hour betweenrelation just to be clear
#7657
I think it was the exposure slider only. I used the silent picture mode with dng,s. I also had my camera clock set one hour later than my computer.
#7658
You get the +- icon, that,s how it works. It,s supposed to level your exposures the same so no flicker will appear.
Try without the xmp files and synchronize, then you se the +- icons dissapear

When I apply anything in acr in photoshop information gets stored and are saved when opening my files in after effects. Should get the same information in lightroom. Still, I don,t think premiere have a raw engine so probably you have to get in in the dynamic link circle to get the settings via after effects to premiere when working with non destructive procedures? Anybody have any thoughts?

"Well, start with importing a folder to lightroom by making the folder than choose import. Name it xmp, movies or something. Once imported start loading your files and xmp,s in this folder. You fill the folder outside lightroom. Within lightroom right click on the folder, choose synchronize. Done"

Synchronizing is one of the most basic functions in lightroom. Tried to explain so many time already. My text plus four links on the topic. If this doesn,t come through I don,t know what will.

If they were frame-for-frame duplicates, having an H264 copy for immediate offline edits would be fantastic. Obviously the roundtrip might be a bit of a headache to reconnect everything in Resolve to the CDNGs, but as long as we could figure out a way to get the filenames/reel names to line up, I'd see this as a major workflow boost.

Plus, having something to play back on set with sound would be HUGE for performance reviews.

I think if we could get something lik 640x480 h.264 recorded to sd while recording 1920x1080 raw would would be awesome. Tried this route on my cf-card a couple of days ago but it stopped after a few seconds. Don,t know if recording on separate cards would help. If the h.264 would enable audio recording as well we should have both proxy and audio to the raw files.

Even if only a couple of seconds with h.264 material with audio is recorded together with the rawfile we would have a really good audio reference for external audio.

Realtime playback black and white would definitely be sufficient for most of my needs.

Thanks a lot!

I simply synchronize my folder with all the files, works for me.
#7663
It,s a fast one in after effects. If you wanna stay in premiere pro I made a tutorial on the same topic :)
Thanks for sharing!

I have yet to buy one. I didn't really want to spend the money as my 600x sandisk worked. Problem is, my card is only a 16gb.
Now, I was ready to purchase the komputerbay card, and it's went up $30 in the last month!

They're $130 now. WOW!

Probably have to compensate for their not so fast 128Gb cards ;)

Yes, I,m aware of the after effects wire removal, didn,t use it though. Good there are a few alternatives out there.

Raw Video / Stuck, dead, pixel, removal

I,ve made a short tutorial regarding stck/dead pixel removal in premiere pro. Enjoy :)
#7668
Made a short tutorial regarding regarding stuck/dead pixels. For those moments you don,t wanna work in acr :)

I have my camera set an hour later than my computer. I also synchronise my folder together with the xmp,s, like audionut suggests. I never import straight to lightroom via camera.
#7670
yes
#7671
I think it,s the same with cr2, havn,t tried that though.
Good luck
#7672
You place the xmp files in the same folder as your dngs, open the dng,s in lightroom or photoshop. Xmp-settings should apply automatically. More info here

In my limited testing, the pattern noise in video mode is not fixed, http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=5609.msg55352#msg55352

This will make it all but impossible to remove.

Thanks for input. I have a few stuck pixels that pops up in higher isos and dark areas. I managed to build a preset in premiere to remove them working with duplicating layers and a garbage matte. I,ll post a tutorial later on...

You could use dark frame subtraction. That should fix FPN and hot pixels.

do you have a workflow suggestion to this method using premiere pro or after effects?
#7675
I manage to import fully 14-bit dng,s and also the .RAW files directly to premiere timeline when I install the ginger hdr plugin(demo).
Still don,t know if the importer-wrapper will stop working after demo-period or not?
