Use sticky push. More reliable. It's hard running workarounds with movie crop mode enabled and disabled in the background, that's what causing conflicts with x10 zoom. As long as you don't rush things sticky push seems to work reliable.

Hm, but when holding halfshutter while recording gets you into realtime preview. Well, now we have more ways of doing things...

I used Danne's branch.
In the post and he describes what's new.
Interesting. Could you share the code for these changes to eosm2?

Yes, those are valid points. But why not start out with framing mode as default suggests :)? Pushing halfshutter and you´ll gett x10 zoom focus aid. Then back to framing...

When you "half-press" shutter, it shows you "framing" as long as you hold down the shutter half-way.
I mean I want "Realtime" liveview to change to "Framing" with a click of a button and stay like that, instead of going all the way into the menu to change from realtime preview into framing and then back again, if that's possible. Thanks!
Not sure why this would be useful. Would be nice if you could explain how you use this? Anyway. INFO button is the only button left to be used here so here we go. Build below

New build:

Toggle between Real-time and framing preview mode if assigning INFO button

Sustained as not affected by halfshutter press when selected? Realtime stays realtime when halfshutter pressed and framing stays framing even when hs pressed?

Looks like the current maps are working well. I'd like to come up with a way to generate maps for every possible setting but it is like trying to herd cats.
Any ideas to how? How about:
- automated detection of pattern then apply accordingly. Maybe dig in to chroma smooth code and see what calculations are doing in there.
- understand how raw stream works and what happens when reg 6804 is changed. Look into crop_re.c and raw.c code and try to match changes with focus pixel code automated..
- refine tools and automation building map files itself. I tried but failed every time even following your provided steps.

Actually there are. You can reach them by doing this. While in x10 zoom mode (sticky push mode) push SET button until you reach the 1fps modes.

Same Clip , Same settings , Exporting to Apple Prores 444 , 30 Seconds Clip , 23.976 FPS , 1736x976 , 14-bit Lossless
Could be related to apple prores. Did you test ffmpeg kostya or similar? There were a few updates around scaling and export(multithreading?) concerning apple prores specifically.

Thanks Danne. Reproduced. Will have a look.

Edit: fixed.

New build:

- added x3 crop modes into tap display list
- full sensor readout anamorphic mode in 14fps continuous. 12fps if set to 14 or 12bit.
Make sure to set ratios to OFF to get this activated. Works with the anamorphic modes.
Also note that if you set shutter range to Full range you can go down to 1/14s shutter...

MLV file:

1736x2996(10bit 14fps continuous) Equals 5208x2996

Turn off focus aid. Otherwise aurofocus is nogo. You could maybe switch to photo mode, do af, then go back to movie mode. Might work with focus aid stil on.

Trying to delete mlv files from the session bar and keep getting this:

EDIT: Think it´s because of character "ö". Could you check for å,ä,ö?

Are you running openmp? Mac or windows?

I see. Thanks. Too tired here atm but might check into it another day.

So, I compiled the master branch to test the gamuts. Some notes I took while testing:
- Sony S has warm tones desaturated and shifted towards yellow
- AdobeRGB gets visible chromatic noise with saturated blues
- XYZ is completely off. Now that other gamuts are implemented, is XYZ still relevant?
- ProPhoto has separation issues between the green-blue spectrum. It shifts the WB towards blue. The matrix is D55 instead of D65, maybe?
- Alexa WG seems good
- ACES seems good too, but has a WB shift towards yellow. Has the most smooth chromatic separation, but is very desaturated.
Nice testing. How are you verifying/comparing correct gamuts?

I agree that that switching moment is confusing in some profiles, I noticed yesterday. Feels a bit like rawtherapee ux. I am very strongly considering changing the default settings in MLV App, maybe having 0 dark strength by default.
Take your time. This feature must have taken a long time. Respect.

Very nice addition with the gamut stuff and the processing presets. Seems to work very good too.
Probably a reason for not being able to alter the set up once applied but is it possible to change curves etc and still have the starting point for example reinhardt/rec709? Right now I can allow adjustments when selecting Allow creative adjustments but this takes me to a whole new view? Gamma is changed etc. Would be nice to modify exactly from starting point.

Turn off global draw?

I put back a delay to the halfshutter push button. Might help some at least when leaving mlv_play...
New build up.

Thanks for feedback. Halfshutter routines has changed but I need to think through some other ways here later on.

New build:

- sticky push set to default when installing. Seems more stable than the default focus aid default option.

I would suggest to skip 5k anamorphic and record with 4k anamorphic rewired instead. They will achieve practically the same but (hopefully) corruption free. I really should rename 4k to 5k anamorphic rewired but low priority atm.
I never use the global draw options so if you still are getting pink frames try turning those options to off as well, but first try with them on as I want to see if 4k anamorphic still holds up with them on. Please report back.

If you select mcm rewired and turn ratios off it should get you there by pushing SET button.
The same can be done with h264 when selected from tap display menu.

Thank you, that's what I do, just thought, maybe worthy to suggest to default these options, if the aim is to make the presets work as good as possible.

Nice release, I'm actually waiting each day's upload more then the next season of Rick and Morty : DD
Defaulting around hdmi out is not a priority to me. Maybe you or someone else could download the code and find out what to do here.

It's not much extra stuff, in 'this' scenario you would just choose advanced and so you wouldn't notice any difference.

Maybe it should, maybe it shouldn't. Either way, I do think it'll prevent issues.
I believe it´s already in easy mode. Install, start camera, start shooting. Want other presets, just tap display and select, keep on shooting. It´s not getting any easier than that imo.

Testing Sept05 build, works very well so far. Playback sometimes gives black screen, not a big concern.

Just a suggestion, could the wheel function be switched and locked by default to Aperture? Shutter lock is already quite neat.

5K ANA gives pink frames when used with "set to 25fps" ON, also not a concern, quite edge case, may be worthy to include force 25fps off in the preset.

Maybe HDMI out could be detected, and be forced to use RealTime preview in 4K Ana, or worked out, why Framing preview gives black output there. If there's anything I can do to help debug, let me know. (Even a release with force logging what you need for it ?)

Thank you a million times
- Don´t know how to default into aperture
- Use 4k anamorphic rewired instead. Stable.
- Force 25fps OFF? Just set the preset to off and it´s in 24fps default
- Turn off Crop rec preview auto mode then select real-time preview for realtime previewing
