You should notice a slower start when starting your camera from sleepmode and also when turning on your camera. Otherwise it,s fine.

Did you change the raw2dng.exe? I still get the skyrocket high hot pixel numbers and pinkish cast as before.

Sent you a pm with a short clip Alex. Sometimes 3x crop mode works fine with no pink cast, others it don,t. Hot pixels numbers skyrocket in the converter when pinkish. Normal filmings seems to work fine.

*update, just tried a regular 1920x1080 clip and pinkish unfortunately. Seems inconsistent on my camera. Or with the conversion.

Can,t wait for macversion converter so installed virtualbox and used Alex raw2dng converter. Some serious iso improvements here. Question. I get this famous pinkish cast when converting, how can I avoid it? Filmed in 3x crop mode but it shows otherwise as well.

Nice short! And sharp as a knife.

firstly you have to  downgrade to 1.1.3 from 1.2.1 firmware. There are some threads on this topic, start searching the forums.
You have to make the card bootable and then you put the magic lanten stuff on the card, then to the camera. It,s at your own risk.

Strange. Works fine over here on my external drive. I have extracted my app in the same folder as the raw-files. Have you checked your names of your folders, maybe some issue with those?
Lately I skipped raw2dng due to not being able to convert larger files. For now I extract proxy pro res with adobe media encoder and dng,s with rawmagic.

If you doubleclick the app and the drag and drop the app onto the app a bunch of options appear in front of you. In there you can skip the ProRes and also choose white balance presets. I suggest you choose cloudy for your ProRes instead of automatic.

Maybe you should try out the ginger plug-in? It makes it possible to batch-convert to whatever format with adobe media encoder. Simply add the plug-in to the plugin folder in adobe media encoder and you can drag and drop all your raw files at once

Thought you imported the clips without the ginger plug-in.
SOme people like the debayering in acr which gives a more photographic clean look. It also gives you better control over highlight recovery. Other than that I think working with the raw directly works pretty ok

Yes, dadinio13 showed some nice material. It includes timestretching in after effects together with frame interpolation with twixtor. I,ll try to film some material during the day to post later

You can do 3,5k in crop mode, no scaling. I manage to film contnuously in 12fps.

1- I create proxies together with my dng-files with the raw2dng converter
2 - All my editing is done with the proxyfiles in premiere
3 - select my finished edited clip and via dynamic link I open up my footage in after effects. Finally I relink my files to the dng,s and apply my acr settings
4 - back to premiere and do my final export

I have a transcend 64gb for my 5d mark 3. Works with 25fps 1920x1080. I think it,s a great card for the money

I have been thinking the same for a while. I think one problem is the reading from the sensor in crop mode being far to the left. C-mount lenses are smaller so there will be vignetting and black borders? The second problem is how to get a c-mount lens to fit infinity on an eos camera. Not sure if the distance won,t hit the mirror being to close to the sensor. Anyone?
So, my conclusion is that the lens would be put to the left and a bit closer to the sensor than the eos lenses. Could be wrong though...
