Run benchmark in photo mode and use CrystalDiskMark/ATTO to verify results. If results are within expection (write rate in cam about 40 MByte/s) retry and make sure to turn Global Draw off.

I can't run benchmark...

Camera won't start with SD card with ml alpha2. Few hours earlier everything was good, i turned off the camera, and put SD in the card reader for copy ml raw dng files. When I back SD to camera it won't- not only ML, but the whole camera. Something was crashed with ML or bootflag?

Copy AUTOEXEC.BIN + ML directory to card and try again.

Ok, after substitution ml + autoexec, camera has started. SD card seems to be ok (saving now lower than 41MB/s)

But after 90 seconds of  recording raw dng I try to stop and save it, but it caused recording crashed again, with information "saving error, nothing saved" or something like that.

In 1600x900 achieved only 10 sec of material.

Which data rate was calculated by ML for this particular 90 seconds recording session? Where there any files written and how big are those? Any space left on card?

Files "stuck" in the sd- I couldn't move, remove, copy any of ml raw files. Second attempt after formating SD, and reinstaling ml alpha2...

You'll need to enable the raw_rec module to get RAW recording, and FPS override isn't yet available in the current alpha.

you may have gotten an early version of 70D like some of us do including myself...

All we can do is patiently wait for them to sort out the bug for us.

That's the least we can do atm.

Which is nice, actually!

There was some info, apparently the main developer of the port did not have time to develop, but in December will be accepted for active work.

So we have to wait till December  :-[ :-[

FYI: I am going to release a new Alpha today for testing. Again only for those cams which were already been able to run the previous builds.

video recording RAW begins with 5 second delay after pressing the record button.
It is normal?

Yes, same situation, but not a big deal.

I updated the first post and also added Alpha3 download link.
Alpha3 still has property request changes set to disabled. Be sure to check the changelog.

Hey everyone!

First of all I wanted to thank nikfreak for the great job he is and has been doing on the ML version for 70D - much appreciated!!!

I have an issue with the intervalometer - it does not seem to work on Manual mode for some reason. It counts down to 0 but does not take any pictures. I works perfectly fine in Av/Auto/Tv but not in M.

Is this a known issue and/or has anyone else experienced the same problem?

I will do my best to post a list of all the tested features as soon as I have some time to spare.

Thanks in advance!

How to update correctly foram Aplha2 to Alpha3?

Do I have to update firmware again? Or only replace files form A2 by Aplha3?

Delete AUTOEXEC.BIN and ML directory and copy Alpha 2 contents to card.

Installing ML doesn't replace/update firmware. Read FAQ.
