Can you start rec button with the remote? If so you could use my built in intervalometer with full rez anamorphic mode.

Hello Danne,
thanks for the idea. Yes, can't double check right now, but as far as I know, rec is working. But I believe the anamorphic mode might be not the best fit for photogrammetry, because of quite a lot of rolling shutter compared to taking just stills. But I'll certainly test this as well.

It acts like taking stills but all ends upp wrapped in a MLV container. Been a while since i worked with it but worked fine last I tested.

Sounds good. I remember that I've read somewhere about this, can't remember where. Seems to have a lot of usefull applications.

Quickly tested, not sure I've got the right setting. Is that
Crop mood 1x3 / Preset: Full-Res LV ?
And then, also in the Movie Menu: intervalometer ?

There I can set the interval. To start it I have to select "run halfshutter trigger" (records single frames in a MLV chunk. enables rec trigger mode). This starts the interval, and I can stop it using the rec button.
But currently I didn't get yet, on how to start your intervalometer directly by using rec. i.e. later the remote.

hello, i installed danne's version (2024-02-19).
whenever i press INFO, suddenly it enters ML. is it the default behavior in this version? or it's just some (config) error?

I use my camera to take pictures a lot (besides video), so i want to be able to set Av Tv or basic Canon settings like that. how can i do that with this version?

thanks

If you press it all the way in, it may take a photo, but sometimes it freezes the camera. So you need to pull the battery and restart it.

EDIT: I remember what I did to stop that annoyance:
Go to the Canon Menu
In the 5th tab
Set Video snapshot to: ENABLE
From now on, when in Video mode, the full Shutter Button won't work at all.
And it will work as usual in Photo Mode.
No Video Snapshot seems to be recorded on the card.
I haven't tested if it affects performance though. Let me know.

Does anyone know another workaround which prevents taking a picture when fully pressing the shutter button? Unfortunately the tip from gabriielangel didn't work for me.

Apart from that I'm super impressed with Crop mood! And I really like Dannes custom tweaks, especially the ISO adjustments with up/down keys and the INFO button for 10x zoom :D

Hi agin Jip-Hop. You could reassign other buttons like star to skip capturing button presses.
I experimented a bit with some code key commands long ago with, I think it was activating unpress halfshutter when doing fullpres shutter in code but was not making any reliable code from it.
