Quote from: Danne on July 06, 2020, 07:40:37 PM@Danne, thanks! i just tested but I get almost the same results:
@guerchi. Could you test this version? It goes straight into 192Mhz. I tweaked it a little. Maybe works better:
https://bitbucket.org/Dannephoto/raw2mlv/downloads/crop_rec_4k_mlv_snd_raw_only_2020Jul06.EOSM202_ver_1.zip
I run these numbers:static uint32_t uhs_regs[] = { 0xC0400600, 0xC0400604,/*C0400608, C040060C*/0xC040060C, 0xC0400614, 0xC0400618, 0xC0400624, 0xC0400628, 0xC040061C, 0xC0400620 }; /* register addresses */
static uint32_t sdr_192MHz[] = { 0x8, 0x3, 0x4, 0x1D000301, 0x0, 0x201, 0x201, 0x100, 0x4 };
Quote from: Tullen on July 04, 2020, 11:57:40 AMI can't achieve those marks that you achieve, with the same Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB 95MB/s
Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB 95MB/s
Low level format in camera (Menu button -> First tool icon -> Format card -> tick in low level format and press OK)
A few tests runs of the benchmark as well as taking a picture, so card was not totally empty when I run the below benchmarks.
Modules tab -> Bench.mo ON -> Restart -> Debug tab -> sd overclock -> 160MHz -> Restart -> Debug tab -> Benchmarks -> Card Benchmarks -> Quick R/W benchmark (1 min) -> press play
160MHz
Debug tab -> sd overclock -> 192MHz -> Restart -> Debug tab -> Benchmarks -> Card Benchmarks -> Quick R/W benchmark (1 min) -> press play
192MHz
Edit: 240MHz gave around 20 MB/s and Global Draw Off made no difference.
Quote from: Danne on September 27, 2019, 07:10:25 AMWith 1280x1900 resolution, the aspect ratio would be 2:1. To get this resolution, I set the ratio at 2:35:1 and the aspect ratio at 2:1.
1280x1900, what ratio is that?
I also recommend using the 5k anamorphic rewired mode. A little less height but more stable.
Quote from: 2blackbar on September 25, 2019, 04:26:20 AMThe difference is subtle but exists,Much smaller than the chasm between the poor canon H264 and ML RAW!
Did You tested highlight detail with14 and 12bits ? I did multiple times and result shown similar amount of info in highs, not that much different.Tiny bit in shadow, if you call more visible black spots and noise a "detail in shadows".Difference between h264 and raw is amazing tho, like totally new camera and every lens shows its real character that i did not seen at all wehen filming in h264 , it was crushed by canons default contrast and gamma algos.
Quote from: DeafEyeJedi on September 24, 2019, 09:52:31 PMLike Walter said, the 95MB/s version has more room to play near 57 MB/s. I had a couple of that for my BMPCC (the 170 MB/s version don't work on the pocket) and work perfect on my EOS M.
Any proof for this? Been hesitated at buying Extreme Pro 170 MB/s over the ever so popular 95 MB/s regardless of the latter (95 MB/s) costing more than the higher write speeds (170 MB/s).
If this card is doable then I'll definitely go out and grab a bunch of Extreme Pro's in 170 MB/s just to be future-proofed and because they are cheaper online.
The reason why I'm asking is because we obviously know that the faster Extreme Pro 280 MB/s is actually slower for the EOSM and is unable to do continuous recording at all. However, this seems to be not the case for EP 170 MB/s, correct?
Quote from: Danne on September 24, 2019, 08:33:05 PMat first It would only be to see if it is possible when choosing the mv1080p MCM Rewire and 5k anamorphic presets, automatically change ratio, aspect ratio, resolution and bitdeph, to those of my preference.
What exactly do you want to customize?
Quote from: Anaconda_ on August 11, 2019, 02:52:43 PMthe button with the expo icon, the right of the wheel, toggle between shutter and aperture, At least in my camera, and with blocking the shutter speed change from the ML menu, you can't go wrong!
I just picked up the Viltrox booster and realised I cant adjust aperture as easily as I expected.
Quote from: Danne on August 02, 2019, 08:45:02 AMYes, you are right.
Thanks for feedback.
Resolution: 1280x1866
How´s that resolution working? Not 2.39:1 any more.
Quote from: Danne on July 31, 2019, 10:11:58 PMThanks Danne!
@guerchi. It actually works as before but while pressing halfshutter it enables kill global draw. I just wanted to know if it gives some more headroom.
Also automated is kill global draw in high speed modes. 48fps really need kill global draw on.

- Enabling kill global draw when pushing halfshutter and using framing preview while recording. Hopefully helps a little when it comes to corrupted frames
This feature is automated and will be used whenever framing preview mode is enabled. @ricardopt might wanna try anamorphic modes with this version.
Quote from: ngemu on July 19, 2019, 08:30:11 AMYes, I also obtained similar (not the same) vertical lines in that mode, randomly in night shots. If the shot was long enough it tended to slowly disappear completely, I did not experience the problem again with Danne's latest versions, but I did not do many night shots lately in that mode either.
Anyone seen this before? I am getting it randomly in 2.5k mode, both in day and night shots. Its a straight green / red line that runs vertically on the right side of the video. Its always at the same spot.
Quote from: Danne on July 07, 2019, 01:35:35 AMGood Question
1280x1700? Not a resolution I´m familiar with. Are you using the ratios presets?
Quote from: Danne on July 07, 2019, 01:35:35 AMI did not see it in the liveview, which only becomes a bit magenta. I noticed it from the MLV APP:
By the way. Greenish tone is only visible in liveview preview not on the recorded footage.
