If I want to put the latest build on my SD card which already has the build from last June, what do I need to do?

Great! How do you set it to record RAW? Is there a guide somewhere,

Thanks!!  ;)
Load the raw_rec module under the ML modules (M) menu.  raw_rec should then appear under the ML video menu.

When my Camera is turned on and displays the aperture, exposuretime and so on and I cover the Sensor over the viewfinder the red led starts to blink each 5s. Why does it happen? After turning on the Camera you have to wait about 45s before you start to cover the sensor.
I am still running the build from 26.06

I made a video of it http://db.tt/IbZ4mLnV

I believe you just replace all the ML files?

Load the raw_rec module under the ML modules (M) menu.  raw_rec should then appear under the ML video menu.

Thanks didn't realise it was in there  :P

Can anyone recommend me a fast but reasonably priced SD card :)

I don't really get what this means, but i'm guessing we wait for a new thread for fw 1.0.4? or...are the downloads on the first page good to go for 1.0.4?

This is somewhat off-topic, but probably someone has the answer:

The firmware update can be completed by just copying the .fir to an sd-card and user the camera function "update firmware", right? Because the canon site to the update says it's available only for WIndows and Mac, do i need the EOS Tool for that?

Remove the bootable flag from the card before updating to 104 and format the SD card or bad things will happen

Are there plans to implement GOP and Slice control? I've read that they are testing it on the 600d.

Has that been discussed as an option for the 650d?

and sew than 104, which would be 104 ml firmware read it?
 what course of action?
1, you must remove the bootable flag through the utility EOScard
2, format the USB flash drive.
3, flash the camera to an authorized 1,0,4.
4, what's next?

Okay, sorry if I seem a bit confused here, but I think i'm misunderstanding some of the steps in the instructions which is giving me problems running ML. I've downloaded all the files needed...my steps followed in blue.

2. low level format your SD card. Done in-camera using the camera 'low level format card' option.

3.  Copy 650D-safe-dumper.fir on SD card. I took out my SD card and placed it into the card reader for this because the camera wouldn't allow me to transfer the file directly into the card (while it was in the camera) using the wire connection.

4. Copy the stuff from latest build on SD card (ML folder and autoexec.bin). Done

5. Start camera in M photo mode and run firmware update. It says I had to put a memory card in to do a firmware update? I don't know what to do with this step (take out the SD card from the reader and put it back into camera? If so, then do I put it back into the reader for step 6?) so I just left my card in the reader and skipped this step.

6. Run EOSCard, check EOS_Develop and BOOTDISK Checked both, hit 'save' at the top right to write the files in, status said, 'Write Successful'.

7. Put SD card in camera just press the trashcan button to run ML Done, but ML doesn't run.

@acme

I'm guessing that too. The official instructions on installing ML says "Format the card in the camera (low-level format)." and our 650D's have the option to tick "Low level format" when attempting to format our cards in-camera.

I can remove the bootflag with eoscard, right? Or I could use a card wich was never used with ML?

After updating to 104 the camera still boots ML so I just have to change the ML folder, .fir and autoexec.bin?

#5) The (step above) is why it isn't running. I believe You need to insert the card you copied the files to, and run the update, and leave that card in the camera to use to capture your media.

I think your right about the format.

I copied the files and ran the update (nothing ML related showed up doesn't run), but then for step 6 i'm not sure if I need to take out the card from the camera again, then place it back in the reader. Then for step 7 put it back into the camera?

Edit:

Just tried what I suggested above, didn't work either. :/
