On a Canon Eos M Crop mood version of August 2023.

I get Green time and stable continuous recording on my old 128GB (which is up 170MB) but not on any of the two SD cards of 256GB (that goes up to 200MB) which keep interrupting every few seconds, specially if there is a lot of bright light.

- SanDisk Extreme PRO -  SDXC 128 GB, up to 170 MB/s, UHS-I, Class 10, U3, V30

- SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO, , SDXC, up to 200 MB/s, + RescuePro Deluxe, UHS-I Class 10 U3 V30

the ones of 256GB re supposed to be better because are up to 200MBs instead of only 170mbs that the 128GB shows... but is happening the opposite, I don't understand, the features are the same in all (Followed Sergio Russo advice in Youtube)

when filming in 4.2k, the 128GB are eaten pretty fast and the 256GB just stop recording too often.

Can any one give clarity on why? What should I do? Aren't this ones supposed to be the recommended ones?

Hi,

Previously I was using TTartisans manual focus lenses, I bough some canon lenses with automatic focus. It does work when on Picture mode but does not work when on video mode.

Does it work or something I have not activated?

Canon eos m Croop mode version from august 2023 and the lenses are canon 15-45mm. 0.25/0.8ft-

Looking for Gimbal and Stabilized Lense to compensate for lack of IBIS in EOS M

Hi lovely community,

I am always impressed by the quality my Canon Eos M gives me with Magic Lantern, I myself find my footage to have too much shakiness and would love to solve the shakines by compensating not having internal stabilization with some gimbal and lens with stabilitzation ... I have been using a TTArtisans which has spectacular feel but does not have stabilization.

I would love to know your thoughts and experiences about this.

lense: canon canon ef-m 15-45mm f3.5-6.3 is stm
(is there any economic sense that you would recommend?
Do you know if this one is any good?)

gimbal: here I have a bit of doubts and I am between a small gimbal or a medium gimbal,
1. DJI Ronin SC. This I pretty old gimbal, with already 4 years but is a medium size gimbal and I don't know if that is supposed to give a more smooth experience.

2. Feiyu SCORP-Mini-2: this is a small size gimbal but I don't know if will be enough to compensate the lack of internal stabilitzationof the camera body (IBIS)...

How is your experience with the EOS M regarding this topic? How do you try to make your footage smooth?

For Canon Eos M, Crop-Mode version

I am coming from manual lens without either a stabilizer or autofocus (TTartisans - F1.4 ,35mm), I just bought a Viltrox adapter to EFs and a Canon lens 18-55mm. f/3.5-5,6 IS II

I am experiencing a couple of problems.
1)How do I properly activate auto focus on the Canon eos m? I'm not sure I'm doing it right.
2)in Video before playing record button:, the Image preview gets frozen immediately, just gets a frame and becomes frozen, this didn't happen with the manual lenses. If I press record button, I can see what is been recording and the image is not frozen anymore.  How do I fix the frozen image on Preview view?
3)If I remove the autofocus, turning of from the camera
4) Autofocus doesn't seem working while recording, is that normal?
5) the autofocus when working does an awful lot of noise, is that normar or received it defected?

thank you!!

EOS M RAW Photography is in 14 BIT?

Thank you

Hi !

I am starting recording and editing for the first time.

I wonder if the "non-RAW mode " does record with 14 bit.

I think I'll start using RAW mode and color edition when having more experience. By the moment is enough for my plate.
