Force 2nd curtain sync
« on: November 19, 2013, 12:34:25 AM »
Canon 6D and 5D do not allow "2nd curtain sync" for non-canon flashes.
Can ML fix that? Pleaseee!

Canon UI message: "This menu cannot be displayed. Incompatible flash or flash's power is turned off."
Even though, the flash fires, it does always in the 1st curtain :(

Nice one!
But all my other cameras can shoot 2nd curtain sync with any flash. Why Canon cant? Might be just a line in the code missing, no?! :)

It is obviously easy in flash M mode, but Canon refuses to do even that - fortunately the new Yongnuo does exactly this using Canon's rt protocol. And has an af assist beam. And is cheaper.

Imho Canon is very lazy on this, the new radio rt protocol which has no fallback to optical (at the same time) would have been the *perfect* time to add remote zoom and 2nd curtain sync with the 2012 cameras as ettl-3.
