Can't get full resolution (1152, but max is 1156)

So if I put my 550D to 3:2 and 1728, it is 1728x1152.
Where as the max vertical is actually 1156.
But due to the aspect ratio restrictions those extra pixels can't be grabbed.

Is there a way around this?

I think ML rounds out the math so as to make it easier for the CPU to compute the frame size.

It's only 4 pixels of horizontal lines, I don't think it's going to make any difference whatsoever in the final product.

Do you check out Aspect Ratio set to 4:3 @ 1728?
Genius. Didn't even think.
I haven't really played with raw recording much.

Probably true.
