Hi all,

I am having some 1000 € as budget for lens & a tripod (optional) for my EOS 60D.

I am looking for wide angle lens and Macro lens.

I cannot decide between Tokina 11-16 & Canon 10-22
Reviews suggest Tokina has too much flare but good with 2.8

I look to take landscape and for a long time want to try astro photography (now with Tripod and later with I have money with Telescopes)

I have been checking for Macro and narrowed down (mainly with budget)
Tamron SP 90mm F/2.8 Di VC USD Macro-Lens 1:1
Tamron SP AF 60mm F/2.0 Di II Macro 1:1
Tamron AF 90mm 2.8 Di Macro 1:1 SP

have anyone of you used these lenses? what's your feedback?

I am looking for some help in deciding

I have a Canon EOS 60D + Sigma 18-200 mm F3.5-6.3 II DC OS HSM & Canon 75-300 non IS

Many thanks for your time

Hi,

I'm also searching for a good wide angle lens for astro photography (for my 60D). A friend of mine bought the Tokina 11-16mm. Over Christmas/New Year I'll see him again and I'll do some testing.

If u find good test results about the lens, pls share it ;)

The Canon 10-22mm only have f3.5-4.5.

For a fix lens the Sigma 10mm f2.8 is quite good.

The Samyang (Walimex, ...) are not very good with f2.8/f3.5 ...

N/A

I've seen great results from the Tokina, and the 2.8 is extremely handy for low light video situations.
