Time lapse playback and download problems

I am a complete newcomer to Magic Lantern and would like to get started with time lapse photography. I have managed to shoot some time lapse using the intervalometer feature, but playing back is a problem when using HDR bracketing, and getting the video off the card and into iMovie or any kind of video editor is impossible for me to figure out. Can someone help with some direction? The YouTube videos on the subject all seem to assume a level of understanding I do not possess! Thanks.
