I have a Canon T3i with ML installed.  I am trying to figure out how to monitor my audio live with headphones and am coming up with nothing.  Does anyone know if there is a way around it?  Everytime I put the AV cable in, the screen goes blank.

You've activated headphone monitoring as well as audio overwrite?

On the T3i there is no audio menu so there is no way of activating that option.

I have read a post somewhere that the "nightly version" has a fix for this?  Has anyone tried it yet?  Remember it for the Canon T3i

Oh, sorry, I didn't expect you did run the 2.3 version.
I don't think there is any on the forum here who doesn't use the nightly.

A lot of people use an external microphone with a splitter to monitor the sound via headphones

While  its extra money and hassle it does give you much better audio quality as the external mic is powered. Not all external microphone widgets have a headphone monitor jack.  Im looking into this right now and i will be going down the external mic route for  headphone monitoring  of my canon 600d T3i
