Hi :)

Why can I only record for 32 sec in magic lantern?
Every time I record it stops after 32 seconds, and then I have to start again....

Im using a canon eos 500D (T1i)

Thanks

what res are you shooting at?

Sounds like a buffer issue, you probably arent using a quality class 10 sd card?

Class 10 wouldnt make a difference on a 500D because the SD card slot can't write anywhere near that fast.

Try deleting the formatting of your card in the computer, then doing a low level format in your camera.

Im shooting at 720p and Im using a SanDisk Extreme Pro 95mb/s SDHC1 class 10 card...

Have you tried it with a non-ml card to see if has anything to do with that? Also, are you recording at a higher bitrate? RAW?
Good footage doesn't make a story any better.

500D max write speed is 20MB/s.  Been said many times in many post including here:
http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=6215.0

With 20 MB/s you can do:
864x486 at 29 fps
or
960x540 at 24 fps

If you want to record 720p (1280x720) at 24 fps requires 36.8 MB/s buy another camera.  The faster card wont help, it is the camera!
