I'm trying to install magiclantern-5Dc.111.Beta4 to my Canon EOS 5D (original).
I unzipped the file to a freshly formatted CF card.
I launched the firmware update process.
I received a long blue light then it started blinking slowly.
I turned off the power and pulled the battery.
I re-inserted the battery and powered up the camera.
The delete (trash) button doesn't do anything.
The menu button brings up the regular menu.
I tried a second and third time but no joy.
I remember reading something about a problem with certain camera serial numbers...
My camera's serial number is 0420102538.
Thanks,
Drew

Did you make the card bootable after running the firmware update?

Thanks. The install instructions don't say anything about making the card bootable. (In fact it says "The installer FIR will make your CF card bootable for you")
I have since downloaded EOScard 1.32 and tried marking the card with two different settings:
1) Both EOS-Develop and Bootdisk and
2) just Bootdisk
Neither setting gets me past the slow blinking blue light.
I tried setting the boot-ability of the CF card between unzipping the zip to the CF card and inserting the card into the camera.
Thanks,
Drew

I had the same problem.
You have to remove the file "5dc.111.card_bootable.fir"  from the card, and flash again.
Than it wil work.
