Focusing in Video on 50D

I'm a totally noobe at this, but I did successfully install ML on my 50D.  I've been reading and looking, but yet to find the answer to this, so I shall ask.  The video capability seems to be working, but it will not focus.  Should the 50D Auto Focus when shooting video, and if so, is there some setting that I have incorrect that I need to change?  Second, really probably a dumb question.  But are there two different modes, RAW video and regular Video?  For the RAW video you need to load additional files?  Having trouble sorting this out.  Thanks in advance for the help.  -fkm-

Sorry dude but AF on 50D while filming isn't working.

AF while doing raw would:

1. Show it hunting
2. Change expo, the camera usually does to get a bright image to AF on.
