I've uninstalled ML 2.3. Can't install old version - Job starts in 30 hours!

I have a 600D. I used the previous ML for the last year, with no issues. I upgraded my firmware from Canon, and added ML 2.3 to the mix. Unfortunately the features behaved unpredictably, and often the red read / write light would stay on, forcing me to turn the camera off and remove the battery to get things back to working. Right now I need to go back to the previous version of ML, so I uninstalled ML from the camera / cards. That part seems to be OK.

When I go to install the previous version of ML version (I downloaded it in June 2012, can't remember the version #) I get the following message:

"Memory card containing firmware is required to update"...can't figure this one out. Does this have something to do with the new Canon firmware? Do I need to go back to the old Canon firmware to get the previous version of ML to reinstall?

Thank you for your help. This is driving me a bit mad as I have a lot to prepare for the last minute shoot.

just format the card in your computer and start over again.

and make sure you are using the firmware version recommended to be used with ML. 1.02 in the case of the 600D.

If your talking about going back to an older release of ML, you need Canon firmware version 1.01 not 1.02

Old ML files can be found here .. .  https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/downloads

You will need Canon firmware 1.01 from Canon

If you have 1.02 firmware on your camera, you would be better off using ML 2.3 Stable
