ML seems to be eating my batteries on 5D Mk2, why?

Maybe I'm wrong but I seem to be just burning through batteries in very short order when running the latest version on my 5D Mk2.  Any thoughts on that or what I might do to get better battery life?  I was just in my office fiddling with some settings for a shoot in the morning and have already used up about half of the installed battery.  And this was just a few minutes use!  Any advice is appreciated.
Manual mode
Stabilization off
External monitor (Small HD DP4)
Fresh battery (either Canon or ProMaster)

If the camera's battery is burning up half its capacity in a few minutes the battery (and parts of the cam) will get warmer quite a bit. Please test again, check temperature and don't forget http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=1455.0
