So, I purchased Andrew Reed's ebook on shooting raw with the Mark3, and I'm excited to try this out.

I'm trying to install ML aug2nd build. Here's what I've done.

1. Formatted the card to ExFat  (64gig sandisk 45MB/s).

2. I put the Alpha for the MarkII (ml-5d3-113.fir with the accompanying ML folder) onto a SD card.

3. Put the SD into the camera, turned on, full battery, all that.

4. Updated firmware. Went through some percentages and the screen went black, came back and I had ML on my camera.

5. Turned off camera.

6.  Went and got the August 2nd build. Grabbed the zip file from google drive, unzipped.

7. Plugged my SD card back into my computer. Deleted everything except for the Cannon folders.

8. Put the 5D3-113-bootflag.fir, the ML folder and the autoexec.bin file onto the card.

9. Placed card back into camera.

10. Ran the firmware update. And I got a screen saying the following:

Firmware Update Program
Update file
cannot be found.
Please check the memory
card and reload the
battery and try again.

Not sure what to do from here. I've tried the method on Cinema5d's site and got the same results.

Thoughts?

Well, no big. I'll just wait. I got it working on the markII pretty well.
