HDR: ISO shifting pros and cons?

I have trouble finding decent documentation on the HDR 'ISO Shifting' functionality of Magic Lantern. Is there anyone that can give me a short summary of pros and cons of the settings 'none' (regular AEb), 'half' (AEb + iso) and 'full' (iso)? I am mostly interested in the scenario where I am shooting HDR inside dimly lit buildings, on a Canon 650D with 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.

It's obvious if you try it. ISO shifting is faster, but has more noise.

Thanks. I only gave it a quick try with normal lighting conditions and couldn't see a difference. I don't want to play around with the settings during a real shoot, only to realize I bet on the wrong horse afterwards.

So, when shooting on a tripod (meaning exposure times aren't really a problem), iso shifting is not an ideal solution. Thanks for clarifying!
