Come on man, no need to be rude.

Let's make it clear.

This one is slow, don't buy it:
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extreme-UHS-1-Memory-SDSDXP1-016G-X46/dp/B004JJN262

This one is good enough:
http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extreme-Class-Memory-SDSDX-016G-AFFP/dp/B007M54E08

Just make sure you can tell the difference between these two:

because the right one has a write speed about 21MB/s (at least in 550D and 650D — may be some UDMA stuff, not sure)

A Sandisk 45MB/s is fast enough. I use a 16GB version and I get 720p.

Benchmark I just did:

In case you think I am a liar, you can also look at the tests other buyers did... They are similar

I can confirm a SanDisk extreme 45MB/s (at least the 32GB version) is fast enough for 650d RAW.

A ML Benchmark gives performance around 40MB/s both in read/write (Max write : 41.3 MB/s, Max read  : 42.6 MB/s).

guys some of you are acting as if rewind does this on purpose. Maybe he has an older model of the same card or maybe he knows of an older model which acually does that speed or maybe he doesnt! Say the things better if you know them but I really dont see the point of rudeness here?

Rewind thanks man for your contribution on this, really you all guys are amazing!

On a side note, 650D will support proper dual iso. Say hi to as much DR as our friends at nikon :-)

This is great news! :)

Have a look at the first post of this thread.

Do I have to remove my current build? Do I have to wipe my SD card again? Do I HAVE to update to 1.0.4?

Am I actually missing out on any features to begin with? If so, which ones?

Yes, you are missing bug fixes that bot ML and Canon did to your camera.
To upgrade just follow the guide to the letter.

I wanted to argue with Rewind until I clicked on the links he posted.  We are saying the same card is good.  Rewind is pointing out a bad card that might confuse people if we keep giving a "all 45MB/s cards are good" as I have also done.  Apparently the gold Pro 45 MB/s is an old, poor performing card.  Unless someone has this specific gold Pro 45MB/s card and gets better data rates, which would mean the 21MB/s is from a bad example.  From the language Rewind is using, I don't think this is the case.

Please note that the red card is a class 10 card, and the gold is not.

Unlike this gold one, which is class 10 too...
The 32GB version is in my 650D and has a write speed around 40MB/s

Nothing wrong with it... the 650D is the bottleneck. I remember values from 39MB/s to 42MB/s in the ML card test.

Amazing work guys, with latest build 9/3 I managed to get CineStyle from Technocolor Picture profile in to camera wtih EOS Utility (it would not show camera before) And everything seems to be working now. One question if possible. Let's say I am on Movie dial and using User Default 3 profile. Then I  switch to Photo mode (while still in M) and all my setting  from Video are still there. Including TechnoColor Cinestyle picture profile under User Default 3 and shutter and iso ...etc. Now here is the question is it possible may be with ML to make Video and Photo settings independent. With some default that user can set or just whatever was last. Let's say if I had 100 ISO with 1/50 shutter as my last settings then play with photos and had it set to 1/125 at ISO 400 then switch back I'd have that 100 ISO at 1/50 shutter back just like I had it set before I switched to photo mode. I hope I make sense and this feature is not available and I am to dumb to find it.

Also a bit off topic. I am trying to get this "film" look with color grading and 50 mm 1.4 or 1.8 lens.  This TechnoColor Picture profile looks very interesting after all this people all they do is color for past 75 years, that's what I shoot and I also have this Premiere plug-in from Filmconvert Pro guys and we'll see what's going to happen. May be someone can recommend a program or plugin to NLE that works good, and in general any advice on this picture profile from TechnoColor ?

Sorry for off topic just I am working on this atm decided to share.

Noob here, and yes I've searched through the forum for the answer but apparently not hard enough. Here's the question, how do you access the dual ISO after the module is turned on? I already rebooted the camera and still not there. Thanks!

When? Where? What ISO? The base or the "recovery" ISO value?

LiveView? or Photo mode?

Iso base will change in liveview mode but not in photomode.
Iso base will not change even with dual iso off
and still will not change even with dual iso module Not loaded.
