Sharpening in camera

I read somewhere if using ML one should turn sharpening right up in camera in order to make focusing easier? trying different profiles and setting certainly improves the LCD image.

Can you elaborate on that? I tried to sharpen the LCD settings but as soon as I press the rec button the images get blurry again. Any thoughts?

You can change the sharpness in the display menu, that correct. But when you start recording, it will change to the settings from the picture profile you are using.
For focus help, use the focuspeak and magiczoom, they do a good job.
