switching between ML card and non-ML card

Hi,

I am new to ML, having just installed on a canon D60 firmware 1.1.1.

All works well.

I am unclear, after reading up as much as I could find, as to whether I can switch between a ML formatted Sd card, and a non-ML formatted card.

It seems to me that when I use the ML card, Magic Lantern will load.

When I use the regular non ML card, there will be no autoexec to boot, so the camera will revert to the regular functions.

Am I correct, or is there a danger switching between modes in this fashion ?

(I suspect the danger could be if ML changes a value which the non-ML card wouldn't recognize, is this possible ?

You are correct.  Using a non ML card will just start with regular Canon overlays.  No harm.

Great,

I can now confirm that starting with the ML formatted card shows firmware 1.1.1 ml, and starting with a regular card shows 1.1.1 , regular Canon functions, and no ill effects.

Just wanted to be sure before trying...in case !
