T2i/550d manual mode live view (AF closes live view)

hey guys
i have a canon T2i with the latest ver of ML
in manual mode with live view when i press half shutter my live view leaves untill the shot is focused
when i boot the cam without ML i dont have this problem
is there a setting that i actavated to get this to happen  
please help im really confused

Yes. The help text for that setting tells you to turn it off when you don't use it
