New 32gb class 10 toshiba SD card not recognized

Got a new 32gb SD card today.   Put in the it 550D and it tells me card not insert or format the card.

Put the old 16g /ML and it works.  Put the 32 gb into my wifes 500d which has never had ML on it, and it works fine.

Do I need to uninstall ML for my 550D?

Took a bright light and very long needle and push something just in front of upper pin.  It snapped back and bingo.  Put the new 32gb card in and it worked.
