I am using Adobe Premiere 5.0 for editing currently with my Canon 5D Mark III. I am not very familiar with Apple products but I am reading about files being dng's. I know that this is a MAC format. My question is does Magic Lantern change these files and and require a MAC program such as Final Cut to use the raw files?
Thank you

You can't do much with the DNGs in any program on any platform. You have to process the DNGs in something like adobe camera raw and then transcode the DNGs to your preferred editing format. I use after effects to transcode the files to prores on a mac, on a pc there are other options.

no,
but premiere will not open DNG files, you need Aftereffects, ot Photoshop, i like pfotoshop,
- you shoot your RAW
- you convert it to DNG with raw2dng.exe
- in photoshop you go File>Open>go to folder> click on single DNG> Ctrl+A>Open
- edit raw image
- Select all
- Synchronize
- Save Images in the .tif or even jpg  format
- open image sequence in any NLE
