5D2 Remove AF Points from HDMI Output (not recording on-camera)?

I'm using trying to use an external recorder to capture the HDMI output from my 5D mark II, and I can't figure out how to get rid of the nine auto-focus points that appear in the output. I am *not* trying to record on the camera's CF card simultaneously.

Is this so obvious (to everyone else) that there are no mentions of this in the FAQ or Forum?
