[WONTFIX] Time lapse, like the D800?

Hi all,

I've been using the 5D with FPS override at 1fps to take time lapse video, it seems however that the shutter speed in this mode can't go below 1/30th. I've tried to use the other intavalometer mode, but this seems to create large files for conversion later in post. Can the intervalometer take and shoot time lapse, and combine the frames on the fly like the D800 and D600? this would allow me to shoot very low light 30sec per exposure etc, and join them in camera on the fly.....

Yea, just port ffmpeg on the camera

My main issue is the size of the cards I will need to do a very long series of shots. guess it's time to upgrade
