Shutter Speed Issue

I'm unable to change either shutter speed or aperture in ML.. stuck at 1/31.3 and f/5.6.  I'm using kit lens w t3i. Installed ML last night w no issues, was able to switch shutter to 1/48 no problem.  Messed around with some of the other settings, turned it off and back on and then all the shutter options were those corresponding to the 60fps frame rate, even though I was still set to 24fps. Couldn't figure out how to fix it so I uninstalled and reinstalled ML. Now I can;t change either aperture or shutter speed.. everything else seems to work fine.

Clear all settings from the Canon menus.  Make sure exposure is set to manual.  Lens AF turned off.

Awesome, Thanks! I can now change the shutter speed. But my options are 1/31.3, 38.9, 42.4, 46.9, 60, etc. I still don't have the 1/48 option in movie mode so I can't do 180 deg shutter. Tried exposure override and doesn't help.

There is no 1/48 shutter. The Canon firmware displays 1/46.9 as 1/48. ML does not show the rounded values.
