[Solved] AutoFocus Not Working

I have a 50D and i installed MagicLantern really like some of the features but noticed auto focus only work through the (*) button so i follow instructions to uninstall it  such as formatting the card and updating to original firm ware, but still the auto focus only works through (*) even with a different card in. Any help or suggestions would be amazing.

I wouldn't call this an emergency when all you need to do is to read Canon's manual

Thanks Francis, your answer helped me too. My T3i was working fine until I tried a time lapse capture following the instructions - the time lapse sequence turned out pretty good, but afterward the autofocus stopped working and I could not figure it out. Thanks again!
