New Canon sensor prototype

Doubt they would put this stuff in DSLRs but imagine if you had a camera with that sensor.  What kind of possibilities would there be?  Fast shutter in low light so it can be hand held?  Being able to stop down more in low light for wider depth of field?  Better lighting in video when even shooting wide open is underexposed?

The only thing I'm wondering is with pixels being 7.5 times bigger, how much has the resolution of the sensor gone down?
