Hi, Is it possible to extend the self timer on the Canon 600D for photography work from the 10 secs to say 20 secs or more please?

Yes, up to 8 hours.

Hi, Sorry I think you misunderstood my question.
I see that in the Bulb Timer that you can set BULB timer from 1s to 8hrs but does that not mean that the shutter will stay open for the time set?
What I need to do is extend the time from clicking the shutter it self timer mode to the shutter actually opening at this time on the 600D the max set by Canon is 10 secs  and that is not enough time for me to get into position away from the camera.
