Bramping: how to set for fewer/larger changes
« on: January 21, 2013, 08:44:22 PM »
How do you set the Bulb / Focus Ramping so that the shutter and ISO changes are fewer and larger rather than many with less change?  I have the Max RampSpeed set to 0.020 EV/shot.

Try the LRT method from nightly.

Alex, thanks for the response but what do you mean?  I went into the nightly updates and found one change log on 1-3-2013 for removing the "course algorithm" but am not sure if this is what you're referring to or what to do?  Is there an LRT setting available in the latest nightly that allows for fewer larger bramp changes vs more smaller ones?

Change log referring to LRT:
"alex: Bulb ramping: removed the coarse algorithm (no advantages over LRT)"

Thanks for any help!

No, there isn't. I'm just giving bogus advice in forums.

Alex, hey sometimes forum posts don't convey tone well, sorry if my question came across as sarcastic because it wasn't intended, I just literally didn't understand what you meant...I need to get up to speed on the forum lingo ("nightly", "coarse algorithm" etc).

Thank you very much for your help and the software is awesome!
