Hey guys! I'm new to Magic Lantern, tested it on my 550D and love it right away!

At work I have a 5D Mark II which I also use for some Greenscreen stuff. I recently read that the Mark III will get uncompressed 4:2:2 1080p in Q1 with the new official firmware. As I am new to Magic Lantern my question is: Is this already possible with the Mark II using Magic Lantern?

I already searched the forum a bit but didnt find a specific answer. Would be awesome if there is a way to record 4:2:2 1080p via HDMI output on the 5D Mark II!

So long!

I tried on 600D. I can change the output to 4:4:4 but input is still 4:2:0 and its still 1080i... on 6D too. Maybe when 5dIII gets the update they'll do it for 6D too. Other than that probably not going to happen, especially for digic IV.

Wow, 4:4:4 would have been awesome :)

I guess we're limited to the digic IV then, alright. But thanks a lot for your quick reply!

How can you change compression ratios on 600D and ML (4:4:4) ?

The internal image format is 4:2:2, you can't change it to 4.4.4.

Yea output can be made 4:4:4 but its being up-sampled so its probably akin to doing it in post.
