Hi!

May this feature does not interest many people as they almost use their camera for 16:9 cinema shots. But I try to make circular fisheye movies for 360° videos, and the 16:9 crop remove the upper/down part of the circle.

We can now get the 1620x1080 output of the camera by the HDMI output, but I need to buy an expensive HDMI recorder. Is there a reason than we can't record it directly on the camera using the standard canon's video codec ?

Thanks !

Yea, I'd love to kill the resize and record video at buffer size however I have not succeeded in doing so. I know YUV buffer can be chagned since 600D can zoom to a small buffer size + stretch it.  the H264 codec may only take fixed sizes, however.

Thanks !

I hope you will succeed in doing this ! It must be ennoying to know that canon know all the parts of his hardware and let you do reverse engineering for very good features that help them to sell their cameras....
