I saw this thread http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=2712.0 but it wasn't exactly what I had in mind and also hadn't been touched in a little while.

My thoughts on this are that there are times when I am filming that I would like to take a couple of full res. photos or times when I am mostly taking photos that I would like to switch over and film something really quick, yet I have to adjust the exposure and white balance  for each separately.

Would it be possible to have a setting that would hold the exposure and white balance settings across both of these modes so that switching back and forth wouldn't require any time to adjust or re-adjust the exposure? I understand that if the shutter speed is at a slower speed than possible for the frame rate of video size you were shooting at it would be a little troubling, but what if the exposure lock feature was somehow combined into this feature to where if you were taking photos at a longer exposure, the camera would bump the aperture or ISO to compensate?

The exposure presets might help here, try it.

What is the exposure presets, or is this referring to something in the backend to build features? Been using ML for over a year now and have never heard of or seen such a thing. Just took a look through all the settings and user guide and still couldn't find anything. Sorry if I'm overlooking something.

It's in the upcoming version of Magic Lantern, you can try it in the nightly builds if you feel like it (but remember that they are development builds not really ment for daily usage)
