Trap Focus problem 500D

Hi all,

Sorry probably i touch something wrong... But I don't know why every time I put on my 500d I get a message 'trap code buttons are locked, press shutter halfway to unlock'.

I do... But my camera do photos automatically.... And the message continues showing... :-(

¿how to disable trap focus?

Probably disabling trap focus will do the trick.

Sounds like you have focus trap on. Press half shutter to disable it (or delte the ML/CONFIG/MAGIC.CFG file)

Where on the menu is disabled focus trap? I disable all things.

I do to press half the shutter but no changes... Later on home i will delete the file. Thanks.

You hid it

That's why you can't disable it.
That warning message should be in red as well, i guess.

It shouldn't be a waste of time for you reading the most simple instruction for ML.
It is loaded with threads asking the same stuff. It's not about losing time, it's about using yours to read the manual and figuring out yourself.

Sorry. I'm outside home and Internet browser are slow on my phone to enter on the website now, tapatalk looks work ok. That's why I use it.

Finally I found to delete the file, I go to prefs and I press config file... And I deleted the config file.

Now on focus column appears the option trap focus. I don't know how I hide... But when I'm on home i will check the manual.

I suppose you loaded ML at home and i suppose you had to see the files in its directory to see what you needed. PDF and help files are there for this purpose. You should read them all and understand them and THEN start using ML properly.
