Hi everybody, I'm french, leaving in London for about 12 years. Got recently a 550D (my first DSLR) and I RE-Discover my passion for photography. I used to use SLR's and a BW black room in the late 70's, on and off in the 80's and 90's, been using professional video gear (for work) up to 2002... and digital and compact up to now.I was so frustrated by these cameras that I forgot the pleasure it can bring to shoot nice pictures.
So I got this 550D, ditched the 18-55 nonIS from the kit and installed a 18-200 IS much much better and I plan to get a 10-22 quickly.
I've to say I'm blown away by the quality of my "new" pictures, but the Canon software is a bit short IMO and I'm glad to see that ML offers so much more possibilities. For now I'm going to read a lot and learn from you guys, and when I feel ready, I'll load the program in my cam!
