Turn on lens image stabilisation?

In addition to my Pancake EF-M 22mm lens, I bought a Canon EF-M 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens, thinking that using its built-in image stabiliser might improve the video footage and reduce the wobbly effect of software stabilisers such as Resolve.

However, I was unable to get it to work. In video playback mode, the "no IS" string is always present, regardless of the settings in the Canon menu, unlike the AF/MF focus string.

Is there a way to get IS to work?
