@BraianRGS
Can you try this build?
https://bitbucket.org/ccritix/magic-lantern-git/downloads/magiclantern-Hello_World.2023Sep30.1300D110.zip
It's just Hello World. And put a picture of the screen when Hello World appears.
Thank you

What is a "Hello world"?

Walter Schulz

Every programmer's very first program.is just writing/displaying "hello, world"
It's like a newborn,'s first cry.

See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22Hello,_World!%22_program

But your programm also says :"firmware signature=0x3d8461b5"
I thought I have the version 1.1.0

Walter Schulz

My program?
What.are you talking about?
I haven't written any code for ML ever.

A signature is not firmware's major version (like 1.1.0) and not its internal version number (like 4.4.0 or whatever).

LWL-Photographie

Oh, excuse me! I thought it was yours...
Is thats why ML says:  "Your camera doesnt look like a 1300D 1.1.0"

Where do I find a real "1.1.0" that works with magic Lantern?

Walter Schulz

That's firmware's major number. Despite showing the same number there may be different internal versions around. And because code is specific to major *and* internal version additional checks must take place. This internal check fails and message is not telling full story, sadly.

I am trying to solve this problem. I'm back with a new build:

https://bitbucket.org/ccritix/magic-lantern-git/downloads/magiclantern-Nightly.2023Sep30.1300D110.zip

It worked 100%, I went to Modify section, clear Overlay, so I got the Clean HDMI, but still have the black bars in video, like it is not stretched 1920x1080. Can you help?

critix

The discussion can be continued on the topic dedicated to the 1300D device.
There are already discussions about other problems, not about the device detection error that has been fixed.
Thank you.
