[IMPOSSIBLE] follow focus with front dial

Hey there,

in ML it is already possible to use the arrow keys for a kind of follow focus. Is it possible to use the front dial of Canon models which have such a dial included (such as 60D, 7D, 5Ds) as a focus control option? Somehow a bit like an aputure v-control...

it's a very interesting feauture... but i can't undestand why it isn't possible. anyone can explane please? why it isn't possible switch the arrow key focus feauture to the dial?
