Looking for a description of the various items on the Live View screen.  5D MkII  ML 2.1.2

Is there a layout diagram that explains the various items?

I understand most of the items -

I don't understand top line, item second from the right - on my screen it's displaying '29.970', changing exposure parameters doesn't seem to change this display.

Bottom line, there are 3 boxes - I understand the left box to be a real-time histogram, the right box is a history histogram - what is the middle box with a purple line in the middle?

Thanks for assistance.

29.970 is more likely FPS (it changes depending on selected video mode or if you used FPS override).

It would be helpful to attach an image show us what you see (e.g. for the "bottom line") so we can help further.
You host images on https://imgbb.com/ then link it here.

Thanks for replies.

29.970 would make sense as the FPS.

Again, thanks for the assistance.

Skinny

Middle box with purple line will show you realtime brightness level across the frame.. I even find it more useful than histograms. Especially when you are adjusting the exposure in the situation where there is not a lot of contrast, let's say in the winter with snow everywhere on overcast day. It is more for non-raw recordings, for raw you usually do ETTR or sacrifice some not important parts of an image in favor of more important things (people faces, etc), overexposing or underexposing some parts but you will have your main subject exposed somewhat correctly.
