Hi.

Just wondering if ML comes with a feature which can overcome the autofocus limit if aperture is greater than 5.6.
Tried the search function but maybe my searchwords didn't match!

Thanks in advance

You can put some tape on TC's contact hiding its presence.
Not impressed by results for most lenses, though.
Argument pro: There was a photographer famous for using EF 400/5.6 + taped TC. Gave her pretty good results. Excellent ones, TBH.
So: I assume it will all come down to the lens you are using in combination with camera body.

And because you can fake it by taping: No need to implement it, right?

I'm using a 70-200 L f/4 in combination with a 2x extender. Makes me lose AF whenever the extender is attached since aperture is indicated aß 8.

Try taping contacts. There are 3 dedicated for extenders.

Thanks for your effort.

So my conclusion is that ML can not solve the problem.
