Settings 700d
« on: May 11, 2021, 06:41:21 AM »
Hello, I do not speak the language, I use a translator, I'm sorry if there are mistakes,  :'( :'(

The bottom line is that I have a canon 700d
and build ( Bilal's crop_rec_4k experiments for 700D / T5i)

And the bottom line is that I can't figure out what settings I should use to achieve better quality,
I've tried all the crop modes, 12 / 14Bit, and the result is ALWAYS different even in the same conditions,
I ask the owners of 700d to share their settings

I also wanted to know about video processing,
I chose an mlv app for myself with noise reduction and further conversion to dng and after outputting and painting davinci,
in addition, I get strong noises even during the day, although I shoot at iso 100-400,

lens kit 18-55
usually close to f4.5 for better sharpness
On the forum for 1 day, I'm sorry if you did something wrong or wrote it incorrectly :'( :'(

Not sure what do you mean by "different ", in what matter it's different ?

-Modes without "Crop mode" (crop_rec, crop_new) like normal 1080p 3x3 have no crop, but have aliasing and moire, good quality in general
-1x3 modes have a little crop compared to 1:1 modes, it produce cleaner image than normal 1080p 3x3 mode (almost no aliasing, reduced moire patterns, better details, sharpness, quality) these modes in the middle between 3x3 and 1:1 modes.

-1:1 Modes have the best details, sharpness and clarity but with high crop factors.

I mostly use 1x3 modes, it's all depending on what type of shoot . . you are already using good range ISOs which is between 100 to 800, make sure you are not underexposing too.
I would prefer Davinci Resolve for noise reduction.

For further help, please provide a sample MLV file from your shoots, you can shorten a MLV file in MLVApp using "Cut In & Cut Out" tab, 5 seconds are enough, then export it into MLV file, set the "Codec" inside "Export Settings" window to "MLV" "Fast Pass", and upload the file somewhere then provide a link.

No worries about English mistakes as long as we can understand what you mean ;)
