hi, mates,

my problem is that Motion Detect (frame difference mode) with the 5D always starts to shot even when there is any change in the frame (a white wall, for example). Immediately that I push the trash button, the trigger starts. Any solution? I've tried with different ISOs, shutter speeds...

Well... it just reacts to motion as fast as possible (that's how it should work, no?). Just hold the camera steady when you press the buttons.

Or, cover the lens so ML will see something black. It will take one shot, then it will no longer detect motion, and you can open the menus.

a1ex, I was trying with a tripod all the times, and now I've covered the lens as you said, but the problem is the same. The camera even shots if the lens remains covered (whole black frame). :-(

jimini2001, I have no problems in expo mode.

Maybe it's too sensitive and it detects noise as motion. Try increasing the level value.

Santi

right, it seemed to be the disturbing noise, finally I got the fine motion detection playing with ISO and levels (at 15 on my wall).

Thank you for the suggestions, a1ex.  ;)
