Canon 5D mk II / how to force liveview to not turn off when not recording

Hello,

i apologise if this has already been covered in another post. not able to locate the answer so far.

im using an external recorder, atomos ninja blade. id like to record with this and not internally on the camera. when the camera is idle, liveview turns itself off automatically. is there a way to force it stay on?
