help with format

Hi. I want to implement silent picture mode with the ability to save dng as cr2. Please tell me how to do that. Thanks!

I suppose you just want to transfer your pics from cam to PC using USB, right?
And Canon only offers to transfer CR2 and MOV via USB.

The easiest way (don't panic!) is to follow dfort's short tutorials to build your own ML build on macOS:

Then open file silent.c. Go to line 170, change DNG to CR2. Compile your build, transfer files to card and your file names will have CR2 extension. Their file format internally will not change, they remain DNG and have to be treated as such! But you will have no troubles with USB transfer. ;-)
