canon eos m 100 firmware issues

Hi folks,

I just brought a canon m100 and I'm having trouble installing ML

I tried to install firmware 2.0.2 with no luck -
canon's website claims there's no newer firmware for my camera,
and the installed firmware on my camera is version 1.0.0

I emailed canon and they've given me no help at all  - 

have i missed something major somewhere?
