5d mark 3 build - 2013-09-20 16:11:09 -0700 shot on Lexar 128GB 100MB/S.

Shot a couple interviews and had 4 out of 18 clips error/stop recording - error message 1 frame skipped.

Wondering if anyone has also had this issue and if there is a workaround or just any thoughts?

Thanks and God bless.

You should probably read:

You also need to read:

Your frame skipping is normal when you are trying to record beyond the capabilities of the card.

So what about when the card I am using is the fastest Sandisk card made to this date? Is Lexar a better choice over Sandisk for this acquisition?

Reboot the camera
Press trash button
move to Debug (menu on the right)
Select Benchmark
Select "Card R/W benchmark (5min)
When finished there should be a screen shot in your card that you can post
Otherwise you can see how fast the camera can read and write to your card

Now, if you read the manual I linked you will find:

12. Press Q and Set to chose the appropriate Resolution, or use the little scroll wheel to scroll from available options.  If your card is not fast enough then select acceptable resolutions.  Remember to look at the bottom of the screen to see how resolution affect card speed requirements.

For example if you are recording 1920x1080 at 30fps the camera will tell you it needs 103.5 MB/sec  your card is rated at 100 so it will probably skip.
