Hello all!

The problem I have with the focus stacking in ML but also in any other software I know is that it is to slow to set up. Most of the time the insect is gone when I finnished setting up. Also the need to push a lot of buttons which often moves the camera and therefore messes up the framing.

It would be great to have the following:

Presets:
-Focus step size
-Focus direction (to the camera or to infinity)
-Time between shots (one should be able to select several seconds to enable the flash to recharge).

Running
-Start the stacking. It should just make photos till it is aborted. Perhaps show the images made in the lcd during the waiting time if possible.

The advantage is that one can just set up the camera, focus and go. So one does perhaps not get the full stack needed till the insect leaves, but a few images are better than nothing. Also there is no disadvantage if too many images are made.

You can simply use the focus ramping function and the intervalometer - it does exactly what you need.
